Through these cookies, certain information from you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, is processed to a varying and individual extent. This processing makes our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure.

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting your Internet browser settings (e.g. using an incognito or private browser). It is also possible to delete already saved cookies at any time click here to delete all first-party storage. If you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, however, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent. Session cookies are deleted when you close your Internet browser.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 para. 1 lit b GDPR, insofar as these cookies process data for the initiation or execution of contracts. If the processing does not serve the purpose of contract initiation or contract processing, our legitimate interest lies in the improvement of the functionality of our Internet presence. The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 para. 1 lit f GDPR.

Third party cookies

It is possible that our website may also use cookies from partner companies with whom we cooperate for the purpose of analysis or the functionalities of our website.

Details on this, in particular on the purposes and legal basis for processing such third-party cookies, are presented below:

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics which is a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The Google Analytics service is used to analyze the usage behavior of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 para. 1 lit f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our Internet presence.

Usage and user-related information is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymisation function. With this function Google shortens the IP address already within the EU or EEA.

The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of the visit to our website and the usage activities there. This data can also be used to provide other services related to the use of our website and the use of the Internet.

Google itself states that it will not link your IP address to other data. In addition, Google provides you with further information on data protection law at: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners

You can find a so-called deactivation add-on along with further information on this here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Mailchimp newsletter

We use our newsletter to periodically inform subscribers about our projects as well as share information and resources germane to the art and culture offerings in our communities. If you opt-in and register for it, we will save your email address, as well as any information you chose to provide on a purely voluntary basis, such as name(s), postal address, location, area of interest etc.

The data storage is always based on our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of the newsletter campaigns for the optimisation of marketing and better alignment with the interests of our subscribers within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR.

For the dispatch of newsletters, we use the provider Mailchimp, an offer of The Rocket Science Group, LLC with headquarters in the USA. From a legal point of view, the use of mail-chimp is a data processing in a third country. We would like to point out that e-mail addresses and other data collected in the context of the newsletter—including browser and system information, IP address and time of access—are also stored on Mailchimp’s servers. We have entered into a contract with Mailchimp for the distribution of our newsletter via Mailchimp to ensure the protection of your data. This means that Mailchimp will use the information you provide to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf.

We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behavior when sending the newsletter (Mailchimp’s built-in tracking). We expressly point out that your consent also covers this data use/data storage. For this evaluation, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. For the analysis, we link the above-mentioned data and the web beacons with your e-mail address and an individual ID. Links received in the newsletter may also contain this ID. With the data thus obtained, we create a user profile to tailor the newsletter to your individual interests. We record when you read our newsletters, which links you click on and deduce your personal interests. We link this data to actions you take on our website.

You can object to this tracking by unsubscribing from our newsletter. You will find further information on this at the end of this section. The information is stored as long as you have subscribed to the newsletter. After you unsubscribe, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously. Such tracking is also not possible if you have deactivated the display of images in your e-mail program by default. In this case the newsletter will not be displayed completely and you may not be able to use all functions. If you display the images manually, the above-mentioned tracking will take place.

The privacy policy of Mailchimp can be found here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please email info@dh-office.com. Each newsletter also contains a link to unsubscribe from further information.

Vimeo

Our site uses embedded videos through Vimeo’s service. The provider Vimeo LLC is headquartered in the USA. Through the integration (via plug-ins) of Vimeo, we can display video material directly on our website. Vimeo offers us the possibility to present you high-quality content directly on our website.

When you use the plug-in, such as visiting a page with Vimeo embedded,  a connection to the Vimeo servers is established and the server is informed which of our pages you have visited. Information about your actions (web activities) that you perform on our website is also transmitted. These web activities include, for example, session duration, bounce rate, or which button you clicked on our website with the built-in Vimeo function; Vimeo also obtains your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to all Vimeo servers in the USA and processed there. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have an account with Vimeo. When you are logged in to your Vimeo account, you allow Vimeo to assign your activities directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account while using our website.

We would like to point out that we have no influence on data transfer and data processing at Vimeo.

The use of Vimeo is based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 para. 1 lit f. GDPR, in order to optimise our website and our services for you and to ensure a comprehensive presentation of our activities.

Further information on data processing and notes on data protection by Vimeo can be found here: https://vimeo.com/privacy.
